This is Lema he is a Severe Macaw (Ara severa). He has made it away from his perch to enjoy some (Florida) Native seeds. He is one of the largest of the mini-macaws.A Severe Macaw can reach a size of around 45 cm (18 in) of which around half is the length of the tail. This is the only mini-macaw to have feathers on the bare patches on its face which makes it look like the larger types of macaw.
